“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members.”

Coretta Scott King

The Origin

The Butterfly Effect Project (BEP) was founded by Jennifer Voorhaar, licensed clinical social worker and advocate for mental health and wellness in Southern Maryland.

With over 25 years of experience in Southern Maryland, Jennifer sees first hand the need for more accessible, holistic healthcare in our communities.

To offset the burden of underinsurance, un-insurance, or other financial barriers, Jennifer developed The BEP to meet the mental health and wellness needs of more community members.
